Sophie Turner makes her predictions on who will win big at the BAFTAs 2018

With the 2018 BAFTAs fast approaching, predictions on who’ll be taking home the famous golden masks have been swooning around the internet. And now, Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner has placed her bets.

Talking to film journalist Danny Leigh in the back of a swanky new Audi A8, the actress reveals who she thinks will win and who she wants to win the Best Actor, Best Actress and Best British Film awards ahead of Sunday night’s ceremony.

“The BAFTAs is just really special, so every time it comes around my heart jumps,” she says. For Best Actor, Turner is putting her money on Gary Oldman for Darkest Hour. “I also love Daniel Kaluuya,” she later adds. However, her choice for Best Actress wasn’t as easy. “I feel like Frances McDormand gave the performance of a lifetime,’ she says of the Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri before joking: “The part was written for her, so it was like super easy for her, she didn’t have to try.”

She adds: “I actually felt really inspired by Margot Robbie, she’s incredible.” As for Best British Film? she said: “Should win I think Lady Macbeth, will win I think Darkest Hour.”

Will she be right on the night? We’ll have to wait and see…
